Advent 2017 Thursday Night At the Cathedral

Classes begin at 7:00 pm

November 30 – Advent Writing Class

To help us prepare for the season of Advent, Pastor Pamela will lead a writing class.  You don’t have to be a poet or a skilled writer.   We will receive a prompt and then take a few moments to write a Christmas memory, a poem or whatever is on our hearts.  It’s pretty amazing the times that we take a few moments to be quiet, how much can bubble up to the surface.  We will gather in the Assembly Area at 7pm.  Paper and pens will be supplied.

December 7 – An Advent Garden

This class, led by Susan Bush, will give a brief history and overview of the Advent Garden, which is a community celebration. Adults, children and parents take part and together bring the garden to life for a single evening.  How do pine boughs, apples and sea shells become a mantra on the the coming of the Christ Child? Join us Thursday, December 7 for this class and on Sunday, December 10 where all hands will participate in the Advent Garden.

December 14 – Charlie Brown Christmas

On this night, we will have a fun celebration by watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas”!  We will have popcorn, treats and hot chocolate for this evening’s festivities.  We will gather in the Assembly Area at 7pm.  If you would like, please feel free to bring a plate of sweets to share.  Children are welcome (young and old) so invite your friends.  The more the merrier!
